No real reason not to either, except that we do have the headstart on xp from faction characters.

The EXP headstart on new players wouldn't be as significant as the experience headstart, if you know what I mean.

Petition, eh? Before we go there, would someone want to just send support a quick email asking if there are any plans for this? I can't get to the support site from work and I'll be on travel this weekend.

this is annoying for alot of us though.
personally, the day before the pre-release, i capped 6 eilites in that 1 day alone; because i wanted some more hammer elites and whatnot before chapter 2. then i read that update, and was pretty POed...i could have gained 30,000 exp just by waiting a few hours.

I've capped about 30 elites per char on my 1st account and probably about 15-20 on my 2nd, would definatly like to get some XP for this. Every single elite from my 1st account was at lvl20, a few on the 2nd were at very low level. (SoJ lvl8 and SS lvl7 ftw) purely for power leveling purposes.

I think i killed that group of Skeleton Rangers on the cliff outside Bergen about 50 times w/ SS to power level myself

Yea, this is really annoying. I just capped all the mesmer and ranger elites on my warrior about a week before this update.. And because I did it early I miss out on 150k xp or so..
